CCI Approves Central Bank of India's Stake Increase in Generali Insurance Ventures
The ventures affected are Generali Central Insurance Company Limited (GCICL) and Generali Central Life Insurance Company Limited (GCLICL).
CBI previously held 24.91% in GCICL and 25.18% in GCLICL.
The additional stakes acquired were 1.09% and 0.82% respectively, bringing both to a uniform 26% holding.
This move strengthens the public sector bank's footprint in the insurance sector under the oversight of the Ministry of Corporate Affairs.
