India and IFAD Launch Eight-Year Strategic Programme for Rural Prosperity (2026-2033)

The Indian government and the International Fund for Agricultural Development (IFAD) have initiated the Country Strategic Opportunities Programme (COSOP) for 2026–2033.
The program aims to enhance rural incomes, climate resilience, and food security across various Indian states over an eight-year period.
NABARD also signed a strategic partnership with IFAD on the sidelines to strengthen rural financial systems and support agricultural innovation.
The launch took place at the IFAD–India Partnership for Rural Prosperity event held at Bharat Mandapam, New Delhi.
