India’s Retail Inflation Registers at 3.48% for April 2026
According to the Ministry of Statistics and Programme Implementation (MoSPI), India's retail inflation based on the Consumer Price Index (CPI) stood at 3.48% in April 2026.
This figure represents the fourth straight month where inflation has seen a rise under the current data series.
Despite the slight increase, the inflation rate remains within the Reserve Bank of India’s (RBI) flexible target range of 2% to 6%.
