PMEGP Exceeds Targets by Establishing Over 4 Lakh Micro-Enterprises
The Prime Minister’s Employment Generation Programme (PMEGP) helped set up more than 4,03,706 micro-enterprises between FY 2021-22 and 2025-26.
The program surpassed its initial target of 4,02,000 enterprises, significantly boosting self-employment in the non-farm sector.
The initiative has generated approximately 36.33 lakh employment opportunities across the country during this period.
KVIC (Khadi and Village Industries Commission) serves as the nodal implementing agency for this flagship central sector scheme under the MSME Ministry.
