India Debuts First Flex-Fuel Passenger Vehicle with Maruti WagonR
The project was unveiled jointly by Union Minister for Petroleum & Natural Gas Hardeep Singh Puri and Union Minister for Road Transport & Highways Nitin Gadkari.
Flex-fuel vehicles (FFVs) can run efficiently on different blends of gasoline and ethanol, with fuel compatibility ranging from E20 (20% ethanol) to E100 (100% pure ethanol).
Transitioning to biofuels is central to India's energy security strategy, helping to reduce crude import bills and carbon emissions.
