IIT Hyderabad to House India's First Nuclear Engineering Design Centre
This breakthrough project was announced during the 'Bharat Innovates 2026' event hosted in Nice, France.
A tripartite memorandum of understanding (MoU) was signed between IIT Hyderabad, CEEPL India, and French technological giant Dassault Systemes.
The initiative is strategically aligned with the landmark Shanti Act, which opened up India’s civil nuclear energy space to private collaboration, aiming for 100 GW of nuclear power by 2047.
This development signals a shift towards indigenously designed nuclear infrastructure and advanced simulations using next-generation software.
