India Hosts 16th BRICS National Security Advisers' Summit in New Delhi

New Delhi served as the host city for the 16th BRICS National Security Advisers' (NSA) Meeting, organized under India's BRICS Chairship for the year 2026.
Chaired by India's National Security Adviser, Ajit Doval, the high-level meeting concentrated on the theme: 'Non-Traditional Security Challenges Confronting the World Today.'
The discussions heavily targeted emerging threats including cross-border cybercrimes, bioterrorism, space weaponization, and supply-chain vulnerabilities.
Concurrently, India hosted other key sectoral BRICS meetings, including the BRICS Heads of Space Agencies (HOSA) meeting in Bengaluru and the 11th BRICS Energy Ministers' Meeting in Gurugram.
The summit reinforces India's active diplomatic role within the BRICS alliance in shaping global security policies and cooperative mechanisms.
