China's LineShine Tops 67th TOP500 Supercomputer Rankings as World's Fastest System
Installed at the National Supercomputing Center in Shenzhen, LineShine successfully displaced the United States' 'El Capitan' from the apex ranking.
Among the top 5 systems globally, the US holds three ranks (El Capitan, Frontier, and Aurora) while Germany hosts the fifth-fastest system, named 'Jupiter'.
India's highest-ranking supercomputer on the list is 'Shakti Cloud', which is positioned at the 32nd spot with a performance capability of 84.31 petaflops.
Regarding systemic concentration, the United States leads with the highest number of top-tier supercomputers (161 systems), while India holds 7 systems in the top 500 list, ranking 16th globally.
