Government Unveils Upgraded 'Air Suvidha 2.0' Portal for Public Health Surveillance
The system has been deployed to bolster public health tracking at Points of Entry (PoE) in response to global health threats, specifically the current Ebola outbreak.
This release follows the World Health Organization's (WHO) decision to declare the Ebola/Bundibugyo Virus Disease (BVD) outbreak a Public Health Emergency of International Concern (PHEIC) under the International Health Regulations (IHR) 2005.
The technical framework of the portal was supported by the Directorate General of Health Services (DGHS) of the Ministry of Health and Family Welfare.
