PM Modi Inaugurates CG Semi's Rs 7,500 Crore Semiconductor Assembly and Testing Plant in Sanand

Prime Minister Narendra Modi officially opened a state-of-the-art Outsourced Semiconductor Assembly and Test (OSAT) facility built with an investment of Rs 7,500 crore at Sanand in Gujarat.
The project is a collaborative joint venture involving CG Semi Pvt. Ltd., Japan's Renesas Electronics, and Thailand's Stars Microelectronics.
This facility stands out as one of the initial four semiconductor schemes greenlit under the ambitious India Semiconductor Mission (ISM).
This development integrates with Gujarat's evolving chip ecosystem, alongside Tata Electronics' fab plant in Dholera and Micron's facility in Sanand.
