JAXA Successfully Completes Flight and Landing Tests of Reusable Rocket Prototype RV-X
The Japan Aerospace Exploration Agency (JAXA) has successfully executed the initial lift-off and vertical landing tests of its prototype reusable rocket, the RV-X.
Conducted at the Noshiro Test Centre in Akita Prefecture, Japan, these tests mark a major step forward in developing cost-effective space transport solutions.
The RV-X has been jointly developed by JAXA and Mitsubishi Heavy Industries to facilitate the recovery and reuse of rocket first stages, similar to SpaceX's Falcon 9 system.
