NITI Aayog Releases Blueprint to Propel India's Bioeconomy to USD 691 Billion by 2035
The roadmap projects India's bioeconomy to reach US$ 691 billion by 2035 and scale up dramatically to US$ 2.6 trillion by the centenary year of independence in 2047.
To finance this transformation, the report proposes a dedicated ₹50,000 crore BioEconomy Growth Fund and recommends starting focused National BioMissions.
This transition is estimated to generate over 30 million high-value jobs, positioning India among the top three biotechnology powers globally.
