Skyroot Aerospace Successfully Launches Vikram-1, India's First Private Orbital Rocket
The launch took place from the Satish Dhawan Space Centre (SDSC) in Sriharikota, Andhra Pradesh, showcasing India's growing commercial space flight capabilities.
The launch vehicle successfully deployed its payload satellites into a Low Earth Orbit (LEO) at an altitude of approximately 450 km.
With this mission, India has entered an elite club as the third nation globally, behind the United States and China, to demonstrate private orbital rocket launch capabilities.
