Ministry of I&B Unveils Pilot Phase of 'Gems of India' Creator Challenge
Ministry of Information and Broadcasting introduced the pilot stage of 'Gems of India' to discover and empower district-level digital content creators.
Participants are tasked with making 1 to 3-minute original videos highlighting district heritage, art, tourism, and culture on the MyWAVES section of the WAVES OTT platform.
The submission period runs from August 1 to August 31, 2026, starting across 6 pilot regions: A&N Islands, Arunachal Pradesh, Chandigarh, DNH & DD, Goa, and Ladakh.
Up to 20 district winners will win ₹50,000 each, while state and national award winners will secure ₹2 lakh and ₹5 lakh respectively.
