Indian Army Introduces Indigenously Developed 'Xtreme Weather Grade Diesel' for High Altitude Operations

Chief of the Army Staff General Dhiraj Seth formally launched the specialized Xtreme Weather Grade (XWG) Diesel in New Delhi.
Developed jointly over a year by the Indian Army and Bharat Petroleum Corporation Limited (BPCL), the fuel is engineered for harsh, high-altitude winter conditions.
The XWG fuel remains fully fluid and operational down to extreme temperatures of -42°C, successfully preventing fuel line clogging and filter crystallization.
