Nathan Thomas Becomes World's Youngest Male Professor at Age 18
Guinness World Records officially accredited 18-year-old Nathan Thomas as the World's Youngest Male Professor following his faculty appointment at Miami Dade College, Florida.
By securing the position at the age of 18 years and 346 days, Thomas surpassed a 306-year-old global record previously held by Scottish mathematician Colin Maclaurin since the early 1700s.
Despite claiming the record in the male category, he remains the second-youngest professor overall in history, just 16 days older than world record holder Alia Sabur at the time of appointment.
This achievement highlights the growing trend of early-age academic excellence and non-traditional career acceleration in higher education.
