Indian Physicist Deepak Dhar Conferred Prestigious 2026 Dirac Medal
The Dirac Medal is conferred annually by the Abdus Salam International Centre for Theoretical Physics (ICTP) located in Trieste, Italy.
First instituted in 1985, the prize commemorates theoretical physicist Paul A. M. Dirac, recipient of the 1933 Physics Nobel Prize alongside Erwin Schrödinger.
The 2026 award is shared among four scientists: Deepak Dhar, Bernard Derrida, Marc Mezard, and Haim Sompolinsky.
