PrepZen analysis
The Indo-Pacific Regional Dialogue (IPRD) serves as the principal vehicle for reviewing India's strategic maritime initiatives and fostering regional cooperation. Successive editions of the dialogue are strategically aligned with the seven lines-of-thrust of the Indo-Pacific Oceans Initiative (IPOI), which was promulgated by Prime Minister Narendra Modi at the 14th East Asia Summit in Bangkok in November 2019. Furthermore, it supports India's broader maritime vision termed MAHASAGAR (Mutual and Holistic Advancement for Security and Growth Across Regions). For competitive exam aspirants, questions from this topic typically focus on the host organisation, venue, theme, number of participating countries, and associated maritime frameworks.
