Indian Navy Commissions 'Dolphin Hunter' INS Anjadip at Chennai

The Indian Navy has commissioned INS Anjadip, the third ship in a series of eight Anti-Submarine Warfare Shallow Water Craft (ASW-SWC).
Built by Garden Reach Shipbuilders and Engineers (GRSE) in Kolkata, the vessel is nicknamed 'Dolphin Hunter' and was named after an island near Karwar, Karnataka.
The induction follows its predecessors, INS Arnala and INS Androth, as part of a strategic program to enhance India's coastal defense capabilities.
The commissioning ceremony was presided over by Admiral Dinesh Kumar Tripathi, the current Chief of the Naval Staff (CNS).
