SEBI Streamlines Regulatory Reporting for Alternative Investment Funds
AIFs are now required to submit their annual reports within 30 days of the financial year-end.
The first regulatory filing under the new framework is scheduled for May 31, 2026, covering the FY ending March 2026.
Beginning June 2026, quarterly reports must be filed within 15 days of the quarter's end, though the March quarter is exempt as it is included in the annual filing.
This initiative, supported by the Indian Venture and Alternate Capital Association (IVCA), aims to enhance the ease of doing business for fund managers.
