RBI to Infuse ₹1 Lakh Crore Liquidity via Open Market Bond Purchases

The Reserve Bank of India has announced a ₹1 lakh crore government bond purchase through Open Market Operations (OMOs) to tackle liquidity crunch at the end of the financial year.
The operation will be conducted in two equal tranches of ₹50,000 crore each on March 9 and March 13, 2026.
In the initial auction, the central bank intends to purchase seven different categories of government securities (G-Secs).
