RM Nachammai Appointed as India's First Woman Chief of a Functional Nuclear Power Plant
RM Nachammai has been appointed as the Chief Superintendent of Kaiga Generating Station Units 3 and 4 in Karnataka, effective March 15, 2026.
She makes history as the first woman to lead the operations of a functional nuclear power plant in India under NPCIL.
With over 35 years of experience, she will oversee reactor operations, maintenance, and safety systems.
