Tribal Affairs Ministry Launches 'RISA: Timeless Tribal' Premium Global Brand

The Ministry of Tribal Affairs (MoTA) has introduced 'RISA', a national branding initiative aimed at taking Indian tribal products to global markets.
The brand focuses on high-quality weaves and embroidery, including Muga Silk from Assam and Kotpad Cotton from Odisha.
Eco-friendly packaging for the brand has been developed by the National Institute of Design (NID), Haryana.
The initiative aims to modernize tribal craftsmanship to meet global demand while increasing the income of indigenous artisans.
Significant for exams as it represents a shift from local subsidy-based support to global market competition for tribal goods.
