India Assumes Chairmanship of Common Criteria Development Board (CCDB) for 2026-28
The decision was finalized during the 1st Quarter Meeting of the Common Criteria Recognition Arrangement (CCRA) held in Tokyo, Japan.
CCRA is an international treaty that enables mutual recognition of IT security certificates among 31 member countries, facilitating global trade in secure IT products.
India has been a 'Certificate Authorizing Nation' under CCRA since 2013, with MeitY and STQC acting as the official certification bodies.
As the Chair, India will lead the technical core of the CCRA, influencing global standards for cybersecurity and IT product evaluation.
