CCEA Greenlights Enhanced Minimum Support Prices for 14 Kharif Crops for 2026–27

The Cabinet Committee on Economic Affairs (CCEA), under the chairmanship of Prime Minister Narendra Modi, has approved a hike in the Minimum Support Prices (MSPs) for 14 Kharif crops.
Sunflower seeds registered the steepest absolute price hike of ₹622 per quintal, followed by cotton (₹557 per quintal) and sesamum (₹500 per quintal).
The MSP for Common Paddy has been revised to ₹2,441 per quintal, while Grade A Paddy will now fetch ₹2,461 per quintal.
This move aims to ensure remunerative prices for farmers, encourage crop diversification, and boost overall agricultural output in the country.
