Swara Lakshmi Nair becomes Karnataka's second Women's International Master (WIM)

19-year-old Swara Lakshmi Nair has achieved the prestigious title of Women's International Master (WIM) in chess.
She is only the second player from Karnataka to achieve this milestone, following Isha Sharma who was the first.
Swara secured her norms across three major events: the Sardinia World Chess Festival 2025 (Italy), the Grand Hotel Kielce Open 2025 (Poland), and the Ptuj IM tournament (Slovenia).
