India and United Kingdom Partner to Launch Critical Minerals Supply Chain Observatory

India and the United Kingdom have jointly launched the India-UK Critical Minerals Global Supply Chain Observatory (GSCO) in New Delhi.
The mechanism is designed to track, secure, and diversify supply chains for critical minerals, which are essential for green technologies and industrial manufacturing.
Key minerals under monitoring include Lithium, Cobalt, Nickel, Graphite, Rare Earth Elements (REEs), and Copper.
Bilateral supply-chain agreements on key minerals are vital areas of international relations as countries try to secure raw materials for electric vehicles and clean energy.
