India Introduces E85 Ethanol-Blend Fuel to Advance Clean Mobility and Reduce Import Bills
Union Minister for Petroleum and Natural Gas Hardeep Singh Puri launched the fuel on World Environment Day, June 5, 2026.
E85 is formulated specifically for Flex-Fuel Vehicles (FFVs) that can dynamically adjust to variable blends of petrol and bio-ethanol.
