Government Approves DISHA 2.0 Scheme to Enhance Legal Aid Access (2026-2031)
With a total budget of 255 crore Rupees, this is a Central Sector Scheme fully funded through 100% Gross Budgetary Support (GBS) and has been aligned with the 16th Finance Commission's cycle.
The initiative features four distinct components: Tele-Law, Nyaya Bandhu, Legal Literacy and Legal Awareness Programme (LLLAP), and a newly added digital component called 'VIDHI Sanjeevani'.
From an exam perspective, this scheme aims to secure equitable access to justice for marginalized communities, targeting over 3 crore beneficiaries.
