Union Cabinet Approves ₹30,000 Crore Additional Funding for NIIF; AustralianSuper Infuses AU$500 Million
Simultaneously, Australia’s largest pension fund, AustralianSuper, announced an investment of AU$500 million (approx. ₹3,300 crore) in NIIF, pushing its cumulative investment in India to AU$3.3 billion.
The Government of India retains a 49% stake in NIIF, with the remaining capital sourced from domestic and global institutional investors like sovereign wealth funds and pension funds.
