Central Government Sanctions ₹1,012 Crore Electronics Manufacturing Clusters in Tamil Nadu

The Central Government approved the setup of two Electronics Manufacturing Clusters (EMCs) in Tamil Nadu, involving an aggregate investment of ₹1,012 crore.
The clusters will be located at Manallur (474.3 acres at ₹587.47 crore) and Pillapaikkam (379.3 acres at ₹424.55 crore).
These industrial facilities are supported under the Modified Electronics Manufacturing Clusters Scheme (EMC 2.0), launched in April 2020 to strengthen domestic electronics infrastructure.
