Assam's Borjuli Site Declared Biodiversity Heritage Site for Wild Rice Conservation
The site is designated specifically to protect the natural habitat of wild rice species, scientifically known as Oryza rufipogon.
The project is funded by the National Rainfed Area Authority (NRAA) and executed jointly by ICAR-NBPGR, New Delhi, and the Assam State Biodiversity Board.
