Mizoram University's Natural History Museum Recognized as India's 21st Designated Repository

The Ministry of Environment, Forest and Climate Change, upon recommendations from the National Biodiversity Authority (NBA), notified the Natural History Museum of Mizoram University as the 21st Designated Repository of India.
The designation has been granted under Section 39 of the Biological Diversity Act, 2002.
As a Designated Repository, the institution is authorized to store and conserve verified biological specimens of flora, fauna, and fungi for scientific reference and taxonomic research.
