IRDAI Grants Operational Approval to Allianz Jio Reinsurance and Kiwi General
The Insurance Regulatory and Development Authority of India (IRDAI) has issued Certificates of Registration to Allianz Jio Reinsurance Limited and Kiwi General Insurance Limited to start their operations.
Allianz Jio Reinsurance is established as a 50:50 Joint Venture between the German giant Allianz Group and India's Jio Financial Services.
Following these approvals, the total count of general insurance providers in India has risen to 35, including seven standalone health insurers.
