Bhopal Unveils India's First Solar-Powered Algae Tree for Urban Pollution Control
Developed by the Madhya Pradesh-based Mushroom World Group after two years of research, the device uses specialized microalgae suspended in a liquid tank to absorb carbon dioxide and release oxygen.
A single Algae Tree unit is engineered to match the carbon dioxide absorption capacity of 25 natural trees, utilizing integrated solar panels on top for self-sustenance.
This innovative project serves as a futuristic model for bio-mimetic urban planning, helping cities curb greenhouse gases in densely populated zones where planting physical forests is unfeasible.
